LEFIS in the Perspective of European Migration The LEFIS main activities have been dealing with the high education reforms. It is clearly agreed that the ERASMUS programme has benefit very much the cohesion of the European studentship and in the same sense the European citizenship.
LEFIS, as one of its main objectives is creating a quality education related to ICT law, what has been found, is that the migration around Europe is already a fact and the structures has to be harmonized. But it is a very important challenge due to the variety of each European country’s culture and background. This is proposed and solved, at least partially, with the building of the basic infrastructure of LEFIS that presents solutions from the diversity This leads us to the next step on the issue. As it has been demonstrated, the interchange of knowledge is a very good input to achieve common structures so to get a higher quality education. This step should be the piloting the new high education structure, making much more emphasis to the quality, enabling recent EU countries to express their opinion and correcting the possible errors that might occur. LEFIS has as horizont not only European countries but also another countries to deep in the new education infrastrcture. This mobilizes partners from anotehr countries Once this is done, which is almost already achieved, the step forward should be the dealing with the new phenomena of migration from "south to north". This could be understood as trying to delay the effects of something already affecting us, but is not such a thing. The idea is to use the flexibility shown in the integration of new countries in Europe, by the fact of taking into account their views. And so, this flexibility should lead us already, to take into account new perspectives or views in a "globalized" world. In this sense LEFIS assessment in quality education encourage this kind of variety in the high education. Because quality also means to have a wider view on the issues tackled, spotlighting the world’s structure. This should be done to achieve a twofold objective: in one hand dealing with the problems affecting the rest of the world, offering a much more knowledge based solutions; in the other hand, the variety will always enrich knowledge, it can not downshift it or reduce it. Europe has a huge challenge by becoming an in-migration zone, but it also has a huge opportunity to become the best intercultural harmonized zone in the world, being an example or model of integration for the world. |
