HUMAN PLUS 2006

| 30 may 2006 | read
The Archipelago of the Humanistic Thematic Networks is formed of 20 Erasmus-Socrates Thematic Networks which deal with different areas and aspects of the Humanistic Arts and Sciences. Thematic Networks are organisms created and run by active, motivated people primarily from Higher Education institutions, but also from associations and other bodies, from all European countries eligible for Socrates programmes.

HUMAN PLUS 2004

The European Archipelago of Humanistic Thematic Networks has presented a proposal for under the call for Socrates ‘Accompanying Measures’ to hold a launch conference in Brussels on 26-27 November 2004. The conference is to be called ‘HUMAN PLUS 2004’. The proposal is currently being considered by the European Commission. If successful the conference will involve a 5 person ‘Archipelago Team’ from each Thematic Network, the Coordinators of the Thematic Networks, students and many speakers and guests in a two-day structured discussion of the humanistic area and its significance for European society and cohesive citizenship.

On 17 November the Coordinators of the Humanistic Thematic Network met to explore the possibility and the opportunity of forming an Archipelago.
